FIRST OF ALL, CONGRATULATIONS! If you’re reading this post, we believe that you’re among the most forward-thinking, open-minded, social media marketing savvy dental practices in the world. Even if you feel like you don’t know much about dental social media (or Facebook marketing) yet, you’re here… And you’re trying to get a better handle on all of this! Congrats!
We have a lot of clients ask us what they should be doing on their Facebook wall.
As you know, the blog posts that we create and publish for you on your blog are also published to your Facebook wall. However, dentistry-related posts only help accomplish a portion of your Facebook objectives. Remember, people are people first—patients second.
Our thanks to Dr. Puig and her team for this great example below of an effective way to use a dental practice’s Facebook wall. The image below shows, over a recent six week period, that there were 21 total wall posts between the blog articles we did here at My Social Practice, and the posts that came from Dr. Puig and her team (approximately three posts per week).
In the image below, you’ll see that we called out the “type” of post to show the variety (something for everyone):
“Types” of Wall Posts Include:
- An Expression of Thanks
- An In-House Service Special
- My Social Practice Blog Posts
- Explanation of Dental Technologies
- Patient Appreciation Party
- Questions with Links & Small Gifts
- Birthday Wishes
- Their Facebook Promotion
- Fun Wall Photo
- Comments with Local Interest
