Smiles For Life: An opportunity to create a “social media story that spreads”—AND help children in YOUR community and around the world!

How Smiles For Life Works

Participating in Smiles For Life is simple! Here’s how it works:

1. Ultradent donates ALL the whitening materials.
2. Your practice donates the time.
3. People’s smiles get professionally whitened.
4. 100% of the contribution goes directly to kids in need.

March through June, hundreds of dental practices throughout the U.S. and Canada raise donations for seriously ill, disabled, and underprivileged children in their local communities and around the world. 100% OF THE DONATIONS GO TO CHILDREN’S CHARITIES. Since 1998, they’ve raised over $35 million, benefiting hundreds of children’s charities around the world. The campaign is sponsored by the Smiles For Life Foundation, which is the charity arm of the Crown Council—an alliance of leading-edge dental teams passionately committed to promoting oral health and serving their communities through charitable work.

4 Great Reasons Your Practice Should Do This

Reason 1: Top-Of-Mind Awareness & Word Of Mouth

Harness the power of social media! Smiles For Life is a great way to create shareable stories that increase top-of-mind awareness for your practice.

Reason 2: It’s Win/Win/Win

Your practice wins by having a turn-key charity program that’s easy to execute and promote. Children around the world win through the Smile For Life Foundation’s donations. Your local community wins if you choose a local charity partner to receive half of the donations.

Reason 3: Team Unity & A Giving Practice Culture

Effective social media marketing in a dental practice serves “higher purposes” in addition to putting derrières in chairs. Campaigns like Smiles For Life foster a mindset—an attitude about doing business. Social media storytelling reinforces through text and visuals (photos and video) that what you’re doing matters. These outward manifestations of a giving in-practice culture not only strengthen patient relationships and increase business, but also positively impact team dynamics as well.

Reason 4: New Patients

Smiles For Life is a remarkable opportunity for you to have prospective new patients visit your practice. When a person who is not yet YOUR patient comes through YOUR door for whitening, you and your team have an opportunity to show them what an awesome practice you are and how much you love your patients.

Time and time again over the years, we’ve seen Smiles For Life whitening patients become new, long-term patients at participating practices.

When you become a Smiles For Life participating practice, you have access to helpful series of training videos produced by Steve Anderson, Cofounder of the Crown Council, to help you turn whitening patients into long-term patients. Here is a sample from this training series:

2 Easy Steps To Get Started

Step 1:

Click the “Sign Me Up!” button above to fill out a short form that lets us (and the Crown Council) know your practice wants to participate. The Crown Council will ship you the Smiles For Life kit of printed materials. It includes posters, table tents, buttons, a sample t-shirt, acrylic stand and pass-along cards. There’s a $99 charge from the Smiles For Life Foundation to help offset the printing and shipping costs of the campaign materials (we don’t ever use any of the donated money designated for kids to pay for this stuff).

Step 2:

(right away) if you want to designate a local charity partner. You have that option. Is there a Boy’s & Girl’s Club in your town? A children’s hospital, etc.? If you DO designate a local charity partner, the Crown Council will send 50% of every dollar back to you in the form of a check from Smiles for Life that you can personally deliver to your local designated charity at the end of the campaign (which makes a great photo opportunity)! If you DON’T want to designate a local charity partner, that’s fine too. All of the proceeds will simply benefit children’s charities in other parts of the world through the Smiles For Life Foundation.
