Unexpected Ways To Help Generate Dental Website Traffic
Today I want to talk to you about a simple way that LinkedIn can help drive dental website traffic.
But first, I want to briefly review why, today, social media is such an important component of search engine optimization. Typically, your website serves as your marketing hub. One of the many purposes of various social media platforms is to create outposts for distributing some of the marketing content that you’re regularly publishing on your website’s blog. In turn, these outposts provide opportunities for patients and prospective new patients to be driven back to your website.
Search engines notice this activity as “social signals”. These signals help search engines determine the relevance and value of specific web pages. That’s why today, when one looks at Google rank correlation stats, many of the correlation factors are related to social media.
So what does this have to do with your LinkedIn business page?

Content Published On LinkedIn Is Noticed More Than You’d Expect
Lately I’ve been impressed (and somewhat surprised) at the engagement that some of our valued clients have been getting on their LinkedIn business pages by posting updates there. Perhaps it’s because there aren’t that many local businesses doing it and it’s less crowded there than you’d expect.
One of our clients, Dr. Aparna Sadineni, consistently posts updates there. One recent update included an invitation to check out their Smile Gallery on their website, with a link from the LinkedIn update to their Smile Gallery.
There are many ways an active presence on LinkedIn can help support your overall dental social media marketing strategy. Greater SEO effectiveness and more traffic driven to your website is just one more.
