We asked Dr. Champagne what their biggest surprise has been using social media marketing in their practice. He said, “The biggest a-ha moment for me was when I realized that social media was a great vehicle to amplify my existing patient loyalty and internal dental marketing.”

Lesson Learned: Social media is an internal marketing strategy, which means that your patients reach out to you as much as you do to them. The direct result is greater patient retention and more effective references.


Next, we asked what social media marketing tactics they’ve had the most success with. Dr. Champagne said, “We’ve used a lot of promotions and giveaways on Facebook and found that it sparks a lot of response from our patients.”

Lesson Learned: We’re not too old to like bribes. Incentives can give your followers the boost they need to take action in sharing, responding, and reviewing.
