Dr. Moore and team have a truly family-focused practice that treats patients the way they would like to be treated. You can see the emphasis they put on serving and caring for patients by observing how their patients respond and interact with them through social media. Moore Family Dental consistently takes campaign ideas and runs with them! They’re also great at experimenting with new things and  involving their entire team. We asked Dr. Casey Moore to answer some questions about their social media efforts, how they’re keeping things fun and fresh, and what they’ve found most successful.

Question: “What has surprised you most about social media marketing?”

Dr. Moore: “We were all surprised at how easy it is to keep up with our Facebook page, especially with some outside help. We thought it would take much more time than it actually does. The part we really weren’t expecting is the connection we feel with our patients. They love Facebook, and a lot of patients just love interacting and commenting on the things we post. We just weren’t expecting that much participation.”

Question: “What things have been the most successful?”

Dr. Moore: “The most successful things have been the Facebook promotions where patients can ‘win’ something. It doesn’t even really have to be anything too big or expensive or that involves you getting in bed with buy now pay later companies! We’ve given away an iPad, but we’ve also done a few gift cards and a t-rex t-shirt. The t-rex t-shirt got the most involvement. It’s funny what draws a group to interact and respond!”

Question: “What is the hardest thing about social media for you?”

“Probably trying to anticipate what our patients will positively respond to the most. We’ve discovered they like learning more about our staff and enjoy things like how we celebrate holidays or latest happenings at the office.”

Question: “How have you seen social media benefit your practice?”

“It gives us a chance to display who we are. It builds positive relationships with the patients. Its a foundation for future conversations and interactions. “Then patients feel connected. The connection makes us safe. When they feel safe and connected they trust, and trust is huge in dentistry.”

Question: “What do you do in your office to make social media successful?”

Talk it up. Ask ask ask! The best time to ask: when a patient has their phone out! Are you on any social media? We are! We also have gum and mints in each room with a sign encouraging patients to like, check-in, and/ or recommend our practice. They can take the gum or mints for doing so!”

Three Social Media Takeaways From Moore Family Dental:

1. Remarkable dentistry makes the difference:

Establish relationships in the office, and they’ll continue online.

2. Ask, ask, ask:

Don’t be shy! Your patients are already fans of your practice, it’s just not “Facebook official” yet.

3. Experiment with new things:

You never know what’s really going to be a huge hit.

We love watching you grow, Moore Family Dental! Great job, and congrats on being March’s Practice of the Month!
