CONGRATULATIONS TO STONE RIDGE DENTAL… Our February Practice of the Month!
Stone Ridge Dental creates a warm and personable atmosphere for their patients. The team is caring and comfortable, with a goal to always make each patient feel like family. Social media helps them do that!
Posts Featuring Patient Relationships Show The Soft Side Of Your Practice
One of the beautiful things that happens in a practice effectively utilizing social media is that it prompts the team to interact with patients on another level. It makes the relationships personal, not just about teeth.
Stacey Jensen, assistant at Stone Ridge Dental, told us that with social media, “We get to form a more personal relationship with our patients, therefore creating a comfortable atmosphere when they are in our office! It gets us to engage more with our patients and have fun!”

Bonus: Using Those Patient Relationships Can Give You More Traction
Stacey told us, “When we take a picture with a patient, we ask them to ‘like’ our Facebook page so they can tag themselves in the picture. That way their friends will see the picture, and maybe even look into scheduling an appointment with our office!”
“Patients Love To See Our Fun Side”
Stone Ridge Dental has discovered what all the best social practices know—patients love to see you having fun! They take pictures of fun team events, and take on amusing challenges to get their patients excited about social media. Stacey says, “We try to provide helpful tips and education for oral care, but keep things light to show our fun side as well! We have fun as an office and want to show that to our patients.”
Campaigns And Promotions Are Great Opportunities To Bring Out The Silly Side
Stacey told us, “We really had a great reaction to Dr. Matt using the tutu campaign! He doubled his goal of Likes! We realized afterward that our patients are fun and like to see our silly side!”
Set A Plan, And Customize It To YOUR Patients
The biggest reason that social media is successful for Stone Ridge Dental is because, as with everything else in the office, they keep it patient-centric. While we can help provide informative, professional-looking, and fun content, no one knows your patient base like you do. Our materials will be most successful when you customize it to suit your practice, and your patients.
Stacey said, “Every morning we also look at our schedule and patients for the day to target a Facebook photo using My Social Practice’s material and signs.”
Some More Q&A With Stacey:
Of the things you’ve tried, what have you had the best results from?
“We get great response to pictures of our staff members, any office outings or continuing education we attend, and pictures of Dr. Matt and/or his family and adorable children!”
What’s the hardest part of social media for you?
“We are a busy practice, so finding time to play around on the many social media avenues like Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram can be difficult. Also trying to engage our patients in those social media tools other than Facebook has been hard.”
What feedback have you had from patients in the office?
“Our patients enjoy talking about personal photos we put up, especially when they’re talking about recent continuing education, or our families. It is a good conversation piece!”
What advice do you have for practices starting out on social media?
“Make it fun! People don’t always like to read just educational or dental-related material. We think our patients enjoy getting a peek into our personal lives! One more thing: utilizing the ‘tag’ option on Facebook to tag your patients and team members in pictures is great for getting more views, likes and shares!”
Thanks, Stacey. And to everyone at Stone Ridge Dental, congratulations! Keep up the good work.
