Grow Your New Dental Patients With Reviews
Getting new patients through word of mouth has always been essential for dental practices.
One question our customers often ask us is: “When it comes to getting Google reviews, is it better to continue to get more of them?
The simple answer is yes. But let’s dive in and discover why.
These days, much of word of mouth marketing is done through social media, as people share their feedback and opinions about businesses through online reviews. Google reviews in particular influence your practice’s online presence in a variety of ways.
What do you see in the reviews section when you Google search your practice? A healthy flow of recent, positive reviews, or just a few scattered ones with little to no text? In either case, your team should be making a daily effort to get more high-quality Google reviews, because the more you receive, the more your practice benefits.
When you’re on Facebook, I’m sure you’ve seen what are called “verified” pages for large global companies like Nike, and for musicians like Katy Perry, that include a blue checkmark icon near the page name. This indicates to viewers that this is the REAL page, and not an imposter or crazy super-fan of some kind.
But what you may not be aware of is that Facebook makes page verification available to small business pages as well… But their reasons for doing so aren’t so much about stopping imposters.
Here’s what Facebook has to say about it, right from Facebook’s website…
“When you verify your page, it will have a verified badge and show up higher in search results to help attract more visitors. Verifying your account will make it easier for people to find and connect with you. When you verify your account with a valid ID, you’ll appear more frequently in the People To Follow list.”
So, let me show you how easy this to do. This particular page, for Bright Orthodontics, has already been verified as you can see from the checkmark next to their page name.
On YOUR page, if that checkmark does not appear, click the “settings” link near the top of your page.
Doing so will open a page where you’ll see an item called Page Verification that will indicate that your page is not verified. Over on the right, you’ll see an edit button to click.
Doing so will open a popup instructing you on what to do to verify your page either by phone or by submitting business documents from your practice.
It’s really that easy!
Verifying your Facebook page not only boosts your professional credibility and increases viewer’s trust, but it will also help your Facebook page become a more effective tool in your overall digital marketing strategy.
