Congratulations to our December Practice of the Month — Gentle Dental of Siloam Springs!
There are two important things we’ve observed about the Gentle Dental of Siloam Springs team as they have grown their practice’s social media presence: they post consistently and they know the value of having fun. The keys to building relationships and promoting your dental practice online are simple to understand. Be present, make people smile and help them get to know your team personally.
Whether they’re having a fun giveaway, celebrating a team member’s birthday, or highlighting a Patient of the Day, they show through social media that their office is a place where patients can smile, relax, and receive top-notch care. In turn, patients share that content with family and friends, bringing more new patients to the practice!
We asked Michelle Wood, their Director of Patient Experience, about what’s been working for the team and any useful tips you could apply in your practice!
Q&A With Director of Patient Experience, Michelle Wood
(Responses edited for length and clarity.)
What do you like most about social media marketing so far?
“The Photo Idea Boxes! We don’t have to overthink anymore to have fun and engaging ideas to post consistently. We have had fantastic patient engagement, and it’s fun for our team as well! It’s been a big surprise how easy it has been working with My Social Practice.”
How has social media marketing most benefited your practice?
“We are able to stay on the minds of our patients. Our mission is to create long-lasting relationships with our patients, and social media allows for more touchpoints in cultivating those relationships beyond their appointments.”
What do you do in your practice to promote your social media efforts?
“We have our own in-office ‘social media champion’ that truly believes in the team and the importance of social media outreach. In the past, our biggest challenge was really getting our team on board and feeling confident in asking for patient participation. Now, it’s easy! Having enthusiasm throughout our office helps patients feel comfortable participating in our social media and recommending our office to friends and family.”
What advice would you give to a dental practice just starting on out on social media?
“Keep in touch with patients in a fun, non-clinical way on social media so that they can see your team’s personality. This forms a foundation of trust that will pay off in spades in word-of-mouth referrals.”
Great advice, Michelle!
