Enhance Your Dental Website SEO Using AI Tools
In today’s competitive digital landscape, ensuring your dental practice ranks high on search engines is crucial. Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google Gemini can significantly enhance your SEO efforts. This guide will provide you with two practical strategies to optimize your dental service pages using AI.
Why Dental Website SEO is Important
Imagine a dental practice, “Amazing Dental Practice,” looking to increase the number of dental implant patients. Despite offering excellent services, they struggle to attract new patients because their website isn’t ranking well on Google. This is where dental website SEO comes into play. By optimizing their website for relevant keywords, Amazing Dental Practice can improve their Google Business Profile ranking in both the Google Maps section and the organic search results.
For instance, if they want to rank higher for the keyword phrase “dental implants,” they need to analyze and optimize their dental implant service page. This involves ensuring the page is rich with relevant keywords, has a well-structured layout, and provides valuable information that meets the search intent of potential patients. By doing so, they can attract more traffic to their website and convert more visitors into patients.
Strategy 1: Analyzing and Optimizing Existing Service Pages
For those of you who already have a dental implant service page but it’s not ranking well, you can use AI to analyze and improve the page for better keyword optimization. You do this by giving an AI agent a prompt. A prompt is a clear instruction that will give you the outcome you desire.
Prompting is an art form and once you learn how you’ll find many tasks, especially writing, are much easier. I recently wrote an article about how to prompt. The method is called the WWWAC prompting model. I recommend that you read that article to get a firm grip around how prompting works.
Once your ready to start optimizing your page I recommend using ChatGPT or Perplexity. These are my two favorite AI copywriting tools. But if you’re comfortable Google Gemini or Jasper, the process is the similar.
Write a through prompt: Begin by writing out a prompt that is clear and easy to understand. Once you have written your prompt and inserted the copy, you’re ready.
PROMPT: You are a dental marketing team member and you are updating your dental implant service page on your website. The name of your practice is “Amazing Dental Practice” and you are located in Omaha, Nebraska. Your audience are patients near your office with an education level of at least an associates degree in college. Your goal is to improve the SEO of the page so that your dental practice can rank higher on the Google map as well as in the organic listings on Google for search phrases related to “dental implants”, “best dental implants “, and variations on those two search phrases.
I would also like for you to create five frequently asked questions and answer those questions. These will be added at the bottom of the service page. In order to identify the questions I would like for you to look at search data and information on typical questions that would be asked by a patient looking for dental implants in Las Vegas.
Please analyze the following copy for SEO effectiveness. Check that the keyword phrase is in the title, H1, H2, and at least once in the body of the article. Also, check grammar, punctuation, and language style. Using standard SEO optimization tactics and strategies provide suggestions on how to improve its SEO.
Review and Implement Suggestions: The AI will provide you with insights on keyword density, content structure, and other SEO factors. Implement these suggestions to enhance the page’s optimization.
Once you’ve read through the suggestions and agree with updates you can go ahead and write the article. Or, if you want to make your life much less painful you can ask the AI to write it for you. It’s more simple than you would think.
PROMPT: These are great suggestions. Would you now rewrite my article and include the suggestions that you’ve made.”
EXAMPLE: I recently updated a dental implant page for a dental practice in Las Vegas. In this folder I show the original copy, my prompting, and the updated final SEO copy.
Strategy 2: Writing a New Service Page from Scratch
If you’re creating a new service page, you need to come up with an outline for how the page will be structured. You can use AI to help you do this. It would be a two-step process. First you would ask AI to create you an outline for the page. Once you have the outline then you would prompt the AI agent to write the article with any additional suggestions and edits.
I recommend using Perplexity when structuring outlines. Perplexity has a great engine for investigating website pages. One of the ideas for creating your outline would be to include in your prompt some URLs of other dental practices that are ranking well and have Perplexity investigate those pages when creating your outline. It’s important that you don’t copy, that would be very bad. Rather, you’re simply using high-ranking pages as a scaffolding or outline for your page.
Here is an example of a prompt to create an outline using URLs that are ranking well.
Here is the outline that was created.

Now that you have your outline, I would give it another prompt that would be to now write the page but I would give it quite a bit of additional information to taylor and tweak the copy so that it fits the dental practices brand and team members.
Here is an example:
PROMPT: Using the outline provided I’d like for you to now write the dental service page but I want you to make sure to optimize the page for the three main service locations that are mentioned above. I would also like for you to reference the doctors name, which is, Dr. Kathy Thompson. I would also like for you to make the tone of the copy empathetic compassionate and precise. And I’d like for you to take opportunities to talk about how much you appreciate working and supporting the families at Omaha.
Remember to leave a placeholder for a testimonial. And also to add the frequently asked questions and answer them thoroughly.
The output article is found here.
You’re likely to not get exactly what you want. The goal is to get about 90% of what you want. You’ll obviously want to go into the copy before you post it to your page and make any edits to tone and style. Once you’ve done that go ahead and post the page to your website.
Why Should you Include Q&A’s on Your Page?
One effective way to improve the ranking of your dental service pages is to include a Q&A section that addresses typical questions patients might ask about dental implants on Google. This strategy not only provides valuable information to your visitors but also aligns your content more closely with longtail keywords, which are increasingly used by consumers and patients.
For example, a longtail keyword might be “how do I find the best dental implant dentist near me” versus a shorter, more general keyword like “best dental implant dentist.” By including these longtail keywords as questions and providing detailed answers, you can enhance the SEO of your page. Google favors content that offers comprehensive information, and a well-structured Q&A section can help you achieve this.
To see this in action, look at the bottom of this blog post. We have included longtail keyword questions to help this page rank better for “Dental Website SEO.” Implementing a similar strategy on your dental implant service page can significantly boost your rankings and attract more potential patients searching for specific, detailed information.
Another big benefit is the potentially capture a snippet. A snippet is when Google provides a high-ranking link on the search engine page, usually in the “People Also Ask” section.
The “People also ask” section ranks really high on the search engine page. It’s usually right below the Google maps. But these results are not the entire website that is being ranked, rather they are snippet of a particular page that answers the patients question. They’re closely tied to typical search phrases. So if you include FAQ section on your service page with questions that are likely to be asked, Google may pick up your FAQ as a snippet and you’ll end up getting more traffic to your practice website.
Additional SEO Steps
