Dental Posts For Social Media That Attract New Patients
DENTISTRY IS A RELATIONSHIP-BASED business. That’s one of the big reasons why dental social media marketing in your practice can be so effective.
Use Dental Posts For Social Media To Show Patients And Prospective Patients That You Care
Conventional marketing tactics are frequently ineffective because people make decisions based upon emotion rather than logic. I’m sure each of us has a dress, a pair of shoes, an outfit, tie, or bag that we bought simply because a salesperson was able to elicit an emotion that had personal significance for us.
We all want to be happy, and we look for methods to improve our mood on a regular basis. The emotional bond we have with a brand, person, or business influences the choices we make. According to Psychology Today, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has shown that patients “essentially utilize feelings (personal feelings and experiences) rather than logic when making medical decisions.
Maybe you don’t want to call yourself a marketer, but if you’re trying to persuade dental patients to accept treatment, I’m sorry to say, but you are. Why not try creating dental posts for social media that focuses on creating a feeling that helps to generate an emotional impact. By doing so you’ll improve your dental posts for social media, your engagement from your followers will go up, and this will also case acceptance for recommended dental services?
You’ve heard the adage, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” There’s no better example of this than our client and friend, Dr. Robert D. Herron Jr. in Columbus, KS. Dr. Herron creates a personal video directed to his patients nearly every business day, effectively integrating a dental social media post to connect with and strengthen their relationships with their patients:
Video Can Help Convey Your Practice’s Culture
I’m not suggesting that every dental practice needs to create a daily video that’s posted to both their Facebook page, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channel. However, it works really well for Dr. Herron. Patients appreciate it, and it leads to engagement with them on his social media accounts:
Set a goal to start using more video content in your dental social media marketing. Begin small—do one or two videos a month. These don’t need to be Academy Award winning films! In fact, they’re probably more effective and more trusted when they’re not. Mobile phones now-a-days have camera resolution that is far beyond what the internet will even display. Also, there are tons of filters and tools you can use to clean up any image.
Please don’t get frustrated with making dental posts for social media. You can do this. It isn’t difficult—and it’s actually a lot of fun and a great team builder.
