My Social Practice assisted me with changing our security allowances on Facebook to allow people to tag themselves, and it has really made a big difference.”

It’s one thing to post a generic picture on Facebook. It’s another to put in some extra effort and take your own staff photo, or make it into a quick contest for your patients. “Social media has helped us improve our patient relationships. Our patients can keep connected to our office throughout the year—not just twice a year when they have an appointment. Patients coming into the office tell us that they liked one of the photos they saw on our Facebook page, our they’ll ask us about an activity they saw us doing. So it starts conversations in the office too.”

What do you do in the office to make social media work for you?

“We all make an effort to talk to our patients about our Facebook presence and inviting our patients to like our page.”
